Martin came to Stevenson in September 2011 after two years as an assistant athletic trainer at Division I Towson. He graduated from Westfield State in 2005 before receiving his Master of Science degree in kinesiology from the University of Massachusetts.
While at Towson, Martin worked with the Tiger women's soccer and baseball teams.
Prior to attending graduate school, Martin was the athletic trainer at Putnam Vocational Technical High School and at Endicott College for one year where he was assigned to the field hockey, men's volleyball and softball teams.
While at UMass, Martin worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with the field hockey and baseball teams. He also spent the summer of 2008 as the athletic trainer with the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod Baseball League.
A native of Athol, Mass., Martin attended Athol High School where he was a three-sport letter winner as an outfielder on the baseball squad, a goalie on the soccer team and a sprinter in track and field. He served as captain of the Red Raiders' indoor track team as a senior.
At Westfield State, Martin lettered in track as a sprinter, running the 100 and 200-meter dashes where he helped lead the Owls to three consecutive Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference track and field championships.
