Aerobics

This course is designed to introduce students to the benefits of a
healthy lifestyle. Students will learn basic anatomy and
exercise physiology through the use of cardiovascular exercise,
resistance training, and lecture. The students will be
encouraged to utilize this knowledge to implement a fitness plan to
achieve their personal goals.
PE-102 Jogging

This course will introduce the fundamentals of jogging as a
lifetime activity to enhance aerobic fitness.
PE-105 Body Conditioning

This course will introduce the fundamentals of golf- the mechanics
of the golf swing, the rules, etiquette, and history of the
sport. The objective of this course is for the students to
learn the basic strokes used in the game of golf from the tee box
to the fairway and putting green.
PE-107 Circuit Training

This course will teach the fundamentals for lifting and working
out in order to promote and improve fitness of the entire body,
with special emphasis on the muscular and respiratory system.
Furthermore, this class will incorporate both aerobic and anaerobic
activities.
PE-108 Fencing

Students learn the basic techniques of modern Olympic style
fencing concentrating on the weapon of foil.
PE-109 Racquetball & Tennis

This course will introduce the general knowledge and rules necessary to play a game of racquetball. Students will be taught the proper mechanics of the fundamentals to play a game (serving, ceiling shots, passing shots, forehand and backhand shots, and Z shots). In addition, this course will introduce the fundamentals of tennis and the mechanics of hitting a tennis ball, the rules, etiquette, and history of the sport.

This course will introduce the student to the general knowledge,
rules, courtesies, and proper mechanics of the fundamentals to
bowl.
PE-112 Volleyball

This course will introduce the fundamentals of volleyball and the
mechanics of passing, setting, hitting, blocking, and serving the
volleyball, as well as the rules, etiquette, and history of the
sport.
PE-115 Badminton

To introduce students to the rules and general play of
badminton. To teach the student how to serve, volley, and
interact with a partner. To give the student the opportunity
to participate in physical activity and to evaluate the value of
physical activity and its influence to physical fitness.
PE-117 Adventure Education

This course will provide students with a variety of challenging
activities and experiences which will allow them to explore their
inner-most feelings and physical limitation in a cooperative
setting.
PE- 132 Self Defense

The objective of this course is for students to be aware of their
surroundings and situations in which self defense techniques may be
needed and how these situations may be avoided. Basic
techniques of self defense will be taught.
PE-138 Skiing

This course will introduce the fundamentals of skiing or
snowboarding as a lifetime activity. Experienced
ski/snowboarders will be given the opportunity to improve their
technique.
