Soccer Teams Prepare for 2010 Season With Italy Trip
OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Stevenson men's and women's soccer teams will be leaving on Sunday, August 1 for a nine-day tour of Italy where both teams will play three international friendlies and take tours of Venice, Florence and Rome while earning one credit for a photo journalistic essay with a theme specific to Italy.

The teams will depart Washington Dulles International Airport at 4:25 p.m., on August 1 and arrive in Paris at 5:50 a.m. (all times local) Monday, August 2 before departing Paris CDG and arriving at Venice Marco Polo Airport at 9:50 a.m.
Both teams will spend four nights in Sottomarina Chioggia, two nights in Florence and two nights in Rome.
In addition to their international friendlies, both teams will have three practice sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Other highlights include two-hour guided tours of Venice on Wednesday, August 4, Florence on Saturday and Rome on Sunday, August 8. The teams will also visit Pisa and its famous leaning tower on Friday, August 6.
The teams will arrive back at Washington Dulles on Tuesday, August 10 at 7:00 p.m., before beginning preparations for the 2010 season in Owings Mills on Wednesday, August 18.
