NCAA Pairings Released

Indianapolis, IN.-

The NCAA Division III Baseball Committee has announced the 53 teams that will compete in the 2007 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship. The Villa Julie baseball team received a Pool A bid (automatic bid) from the NEAC Conference . The Mustangs will compete in Ferrum, Virginia from May 16-20. Winners of the eight first-round tournaments will qualify for the double-elimination championship at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton, Wisconsin, May 25-29.

The Mustangs stand at 24-20 after finishing up the regular season last Thursday vs future CAC opponent University of Mary Washington. The Mustangs finished 2nd in both the regular season and conference tournament to Keystone College. Keystone is a provisional member of Division III and therefore cannot appear in the postseason tournament. The Mustangs have had a year of ups and downs, but with their pitchign staff finally getting healthy for the stretch run they look to do some damage in the regionals. Their first game is scheduled for Thursday vs #2 seed Salisbury.

Game schedules and more information will be released as it is made available throughout the week leading up to the tournament.
