Three Mustangs Named to All-CAC Baseball Teams
YORK, Pa. - Senior Wade Keenan (Eldersburg/Liberty) received his fourth-straight all-conference first team selection to highlight three players from the Stevenson University baseball team who were named to the All-CAC teams on Tuesday.
Senior Max Eckert (Hyattsville/Perkiomen Prep) and sophomore Dustin Tarlow (Finksburg/Westminster) were each named to the second team.
A two-time All-CAC and two-time All-NEAC First Team selection, Keenan finished the season with a .313 batting average and was second on the team with 47 hits. He was also second on the team in home runs and third in runs while leading the team with 11 stolen bases.
On the mound, Keenan led the team in ERA, strikeouts, saves and innings pitched. He was also second in wins.
In four seasons, the two-time ABCA All-South Region selection totaled a .366 average with 185 hits, 96 RBIs and 53 stolen bases along with 16 wins, 10 complete games, five saves, a school-record 235 strikeouts and a 3.24 ERA in 247.2 innings.
Eckert led the team with a .317 batting average, 10 home runs and 37 RBIs while finishing third with 44 hits and second with 11 doubles. He also drew a team-high 21 walks and was hit-by-pitch 13 times.
In just two seasons, Eckert set the school's career home runs record at 12 while batting .306 with 59 hits, 12 doubles, three triples and 54 RBIs.
Tarlow finished third on the team with a .315 batting average, but led the team in at-bats, runs, hits, triples and home runs while ranking second in RBIs and stolen bases. He also committed just one error in 120 chances in the outfield for a team-best .992 fielding percentage.
