ANNVILLE, Pa. - Stevenson baseball junior Tom Goulian (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) was named Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week on Monday, becoming the third Mustang to be honored by the conference this season. It is first career honor for Goulian.
Goulian joins senior Heath Johnson (Wilmington, Del./Charter School of Wilmington) and junior Brooks Miller (Odenton, Md./Arundel) who were named Commonwealth Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, on March 4.
Goulian hit .611 (11-for-18) as Stevenson went 3-1 last week. He led the team with 11 hits, including four doubles, six RBIs and eight runs scored while posting a .650 on-base percentage and an .833 slugging percentage. He also hit .800 (4-for-5) with runners in scoring position.
In a three-game series sweep of Commonwealth Conference rival Lebanon Valley, Goulian hit .500 (7-for-14) with seven runs, six RBIs and two doubles.
Stevenson travels to No. 17 Johns Hopkins on Thursday. First pitch is at 3:30 p.m. The Blue Jays have won 10-straight heading into Tuesday's conference contest with Dickinson.
