    The Stevenson baseball team wrapped up their regular season and kept their postseason aspirations alive on Sunday afternoon getting a complete game effort out of junior starting pitcher James Wiercinski to defeat non-conference opponent Catholic University by a final of 8-2 at Talbot Field in a game that was added to schedule earlier this week.

    Stevenson University baseball junior starting pitcher James Wiercinski was tabbed as the 2018 MAC Commonwealth Pitcher of the Year as announced by the league office on Thursday morning. Three members of the Green and White received All-Conference accolades.

    The Stevenson baseball team celebrated their ten seniors in dramatic fashion on Saturday afternoon at Sugar Field using a walk-off RBI single from sophomore Alex Kidwiler to take game two of the MAC Commonwealth doubleheader against Arcadia University by a score of 3-2.     The Stevenson baseball team grabbed the lead in the first inning but watched the host Arcadia University go in front in the second and never look back as they defeated the Green and White by a final of 11-8 on Friday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth play at Skip Wilson Field.

    The Stevenson baseball team fell behind early but rallied back to put up runs during six of their eight offensive chances to take down local rival McDaniel College by a final of 13-5 on Monday afternoon in non-conference play at Sugar Field.

    The Stevenson baseball team had another lead get away from them late in a game as the visiting Catholic University Cardinals used a five-run eighth to take the edge and never looked back as they upended the Green and White by a final of 10-6 on Wednesday afternoon at Sugar Field.

    The Stevenson baseball team had the tables turned on them on Saturday afternoon just a day after putting up 19 runs and pounding out 14 hits it was the visiting Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth opponent Messiah College racking up big numbers as they totaled 26 runs and 27 hits to sweep the Mustangs in the doubleheader by scores of 11-3 and 15-8.

    The Stevenson baseball team put up crooked numbers in six of the nine innings and pounded four home runs surviving a late charge by the host Messiah College to defeat the Falcons 19-10 in game one of the three-game weekend series at the Starry Baseball Field on Friday afternoon.
  • Mustangs Earn Split With Lebanon Valley

    The Stevenson baseball team went right back to work just 24-hours after losing a three-run lead in the ninth to Lebanon Valley despite senior Billy Small picking up two home runs falling 16-11 in extra innings. On Saturday afternoon the same two teams squared off yet against in conference play with a doubleheader at McGill Field in Annville. In game one it would be the Dutchmen coming out on top 8-6 despite a late rally by Stevenson, but the Mustangs salvaged a game in the three-game set by taking game two 11-7.

    The Stevenson baseball team got two home runs, three RBIs, and five runs scored by senior Billy Small, but lost an 11-8 lead in the ninth before succumbing to conference opponent Lebanon Valley by a score of 16-11 in eleven innings at Sugar Field on Friday afternoon.

    The Stevenson baseball team returned to action just 24-hours after taking down conference foe Hood 12-6 in Frederick. As to they traveled the Maryland shore on Tuesday afternoon for a non-conference tilt with Salisbury University. Unfortunately, for the Green and White, their in-state rival got the better of them winning by a final of 13-5 at Sea Gull Baseball Stadium.
  • Balanced Offense Leads Mustangs To Conference Win Over Hood

    The Stevenson baseball team had five players record a multiple hit game en route to a 12-6 victory conference and in-state foe Hood College on Monday afternoon at Frederick Community College. With the win, the Mustangs were able to salvage one of the three games in the season series with the Blazers who swept the doubleheader at Sugar Field last Monday by finals of 6-4 and 13-12.

    The Stevenson baseball team avenged Thursday’s tough defeat to take down Albright College in game two of the weekend set on Saturday afternoon by a final of 3-1 but suffered a 21-4 setback in the finale at Sugar Field. The win in the first game of the day stopped a four-game conference losing skid.

    The Stevenson baseball team saw Albright center fielder Jeff Yordy hit two home runs knocking in five runs as the Lions upended the Mustangs 5-3 in the series opener on Thursday at Kelchner Field. With the loss, the Green and White suffered their fourth consecutive MAC Commonwealth defeat.

  • Mustangs Drop Hard Fought Twinbill To Hood

    The Stevenson baseball team finally got back on the field after having not played a game since last Sunday at Widener due to the inclement weather that swept through the region last week. The team visiting Sugar Field on Monday afternoon was MAC Commonwealth leader Hood College. Both games were tightly contested affairs, but ultimately the Mustangs came out on the short end of a 6-4 loss in game one and a wild 13-12 defeat in the second.

    The Stevenson baseball team pushed their winning streak to six with a 3-1 win in game one of Sunday’s doubleheader versus Middle Atlantic Conference opponent Widener University. Unfortunately, in the second contest of the day, the run was halted with a 2-1 defeat at Widener University Baseball Field. The Mustangs did take the weekend set two games to one after taking Friday’s home matchup by a 17-6 final at Sugar Field.

    Senior starting pitcher Michael Remeikis helped the Stevenson baseball team remain red-hot by tossing a complete game shutout as they blanked York College of Pennsylvania in a non-conference game by a final 6-0 on Wednesday afternoon at Jaquet Field.
