Following a stellar four-year playing career, Keenan begins his seventh year as an assistant coach at Stevenson in 2015. His primary responsibility will be working with the team’s outfield, but he will also serve as an assistant pitching coach.
During his four seasons with the Mustangs from 2005-08, Keenan was a four-time, first team all-conference selection, four-time team MVP and a three-time ABCA All-South Region honoree. He was also named Stevenson’s Outstanding Male Athlete in 2009. He holds numerous school records, including career batting average (.366), triples (14) and stolen bases (53).
Keenan also holds multiple career pitching records, most notably, the career strikeout record with 235 in 247.2 innings. He posted 16 career wins, 10 complete games and a 3.24 ERA.
In the summer of 2009, Keenan served as the head coach of the Maryland Orioles, guiding the team to a 20-8 record and the Maryland Collegiate Baseball League championship.
A 2009 graduate of Stevenson with a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in economics and finance, Keenan also earned an MBA from Loyola University of Maryland with a concentration in management in May 2015.
Keenan currently works for Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems in Linthicum and resides in Eldersburg.
