Anthony DiGiorgio Baseball
Anthony DiGiorgio is entering his 6th season as an Assistant Coach of the Villa Julie College baseball team. Coach DiGiorgio has been serving as the third base coach since his first year at Villa Julie. Defensively DiGiorgio works with the catchers developing their receiving, blocking and throwing skills. He also contributes to the team as a hitting coach.
In 1996 Anthony graduated from Northeast High School in Anne Arundel County where he lettered in baseball and basketball. He continued his baseball career at Anne Arundel Community College from 1997-1998 where he was named MVP and 1st Team All-Region as a catcher. After receiving his Associates of Arts Degree from AACC he spent the summers of 1998 and 1999 in Antwerp, Belgium competing in an international tournament against Olympic teams from Europe. He was the recipient of the MVP award for his play in the 1998 Belgian Open Baseball Tournament. He continued his education and baseball career at UMBC. After recovering from a torn shoulder ligament that required surgery in 2000, Anthony returned to the UMBC baseball team in 2001 and helped contribute to his teams Northeast Conference Championship.
