VJC Dance Team Returns From Nationals

Orlando, FL - On Saturday, January 19th, the Villa Julie College Dance team competed in the National Dance Competition in Orlando, Florida. This was only the teams second year in this national competition showcasing the best dance teams in the country. The Dance team proved they are getting stronger and becoming a known name in the Universal Dance Association (UDA) community by giving a strong performance. The dance team competed in two categories; Jazz and Hip Hop. Though they did not make finals in either category, the team left proud and satisfied. Their entry video advanced them to the semi-finals before they arrived and their Hip-Hop routine was only one away from reaching the finals. They took 11 teams into the finals and VJC placed 12th! This was a monumental step for VJC being such a young team in a huge collegiate competition.
