Regina Kroll returns for her third stint as head coach of the Stevenson dance team for the 2011-12 season.
Prior to serving as head coach, Kroll spent two years as an assistant coach. She was a member of the Stevenson dance team the first year it was considered a varsity sport and was a four-year member of team captain for two.
Kroll was a two-time team MVP and voted Stevenson's Most Outstanding Female Athlete in 2005.
Kroll graduated in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. She is now a teacher at The Odyssey School in Stevenson and a hip-hop teacher at B. Funk Dance Studio in Ellicott City.
Kroll has choreographed award-winning hip-hop routines for the team at regional and national competitions. In December 2006, the hip hop routine, "Bring 'Em Out" won first place overall in the division and earned Kroll a special teacher's award and jacket for her choreography.
During her first stint as head coach, Kroll led the them to several first-place trophies and special recognition awards at their competitions.
Kroll has studied ballet, jazz, modern and hip-hop throughout her years of dance. She has danced with top choreographers such as Marty Kudelka, Justin Timberlake's choreographer and Brian Friedman from, "So You Think You Can Dance."
