Mustangs Fall To Bridgewater In Black Eyed Susan Tournament
Owings Mills, MD.- The
Mustangs fell 2-0 to the Bridgewater College Eagles in their
first-round game of the Black Eyed Susan Tournament. The two
Bridgewater goals came from Kendra Anderson and Kirsten
Miner. The Eagles out shot the Mustangs 7-4 . Despite
an aggressive effort from Villa Julie's offense in the final
minutes of the game, the Mustangs were unable to get the ball past
the Eagles' goalie Elizabeth Sullivan.
Freshman goalie Kara Zimmerman (Odenton, MD/Arundel) tallied two
saves, and sophomore Sarah Bauer (Baltimore, MD/Perry Hall)
registered two shots in the loss.
Villa Julie will play Wells College tomorrow at 10 a.m. Bridgewater will face Delaware Valley in the championship game at 4 p.m.
