Villa Falls To Washington & Lee

Owings Mills, MD-  The Villa Julie Mustangs field hockey team played ODAC powerhouse Washington and Lee in their second home game of the week. The Mustangs struggled to get the ball past W&L's defense and were unable to score in the first half. W&L freshman Sallie Armstrong scored three goals to give the Generals a 3-0 lead at halftime. The Generals built up their lead with fierce offense in the second half, scoring three more goals, bringing the score to 6-0 with just over six minutes left to play. However, the Mustangs never gave up, and their intensity and determination paid off in a goal by junior Emily Pullarn (Perry Hall, MD/Perry Hall) during the last 30 seconds of the game.

The Mustangs next game will be at York College of Pennsylvania on Thursday, September 27 at 4:30 p.m.
