Wolverines Edge Past Mustangs 3-1

The Wolverines topped the Mustangs in today’s CAC action 3-1. The Mustangs’ record falls to 4-9 overall and 2-3 in conference.

Wesley’s Danielle Vincent was the first to hit the cage off of a pass by Taryn Neeman nine minutes into play. Villa’s Emily Pullarn (Perry Hall, MD/Perry Hall) retaliated, scoring the lone goal for the Mustangs two minutes later, tying the game 1-1. Wesley’s Neeman scored twice to bring the score to 3-1.

Krissy Leventis (Baltimore, MD/Baltimore Lutheran) had two shots for the day. Rachael Dell (Hampstead, MD/North Carroll) had a strong day on defense along with CAC player of the week Raechel Manly (Bel Air, MD/Bel Air), transitioning the ball from defense to offense.

They hit the road and head to Catholic for a 2 p.m. start.
