Katelyn Manocheh Named CAC Player of the Week

YORK, Pa. - Stevenson University field hockey sophomore Katelyn Manocheh (Timonium/Maryvale Prep) was named CAC Co-Player of the Week on Monday, sharing the honor with Mary Washington's Alison Wekstein.

Manocheh, who is the first field hockey player to win the award since the Mustangs joined the CAC a year ago, is the fifth female student-athlete to be honored by the conference this fall and the ninth selection overall.

In two wins over Frostburg State and Wesley in the quarterfinals of the CAC Field Hockey Championship, Manocheh totaled seven points on three goals and one assist. With the two
wins, the Mustangs set a new school record for wins in a season with 10.

Against Frostburg State, Manocheh scored the game's only goal in a 1-0 victory on Thursday after the Bobcats entered the game with a record of 14-4. On Saturday, Manocheh had a hand in all three goals for Stevenson in a 3-2 victory over Wesley, scoring two goals and assisting on the other.

Over the team's last four games, Manocheh has totaled 13 points on six goals and one assist while posting nine goals and 19 points this season.

Stevenson travels to No. 9-ranked Salisbury on Wednesday in the semifinals of the CAC Field Hockey Championship. Game time is at 6:00 p.m., at Sea Gull Stadium. Live stats from the game can be accessed here.
