DiPaolo, Zimmerman Named to All-CAC Second Team

YORK, Pa. - After advancing to its third-straight CAC Field Hockey Championship, Stevenson had two defensive players receive All-CAC honors as juniors Natalie DiPaolo (Baltimore/Perry Hall) and Kara Zimmerman (Odenton/Arundel) were each named to the second team.
Zimmerman earned her second All-CAC selection after being named to the first team a year ago while DiPaolo received her first career postseason honor.
Zimmerman finished the season with a career-high 172 saves, a mark that was tops in the CAC as well. She also led the conference with an .808 saves percentage while earning All-CAC Player of the Week on November 2 and ECAC Division III Mid-Atlantic Defensive Player of the Week on November 3.
In three seasons, the 2008 NFHCA All-South Region selection has totaled a school record 420 career saves.
DiPaolo led the CAC in defensive saves with 17, three shy of the school record set by Kristy Oppliger in 1998. DiPaolo ranked second in Division III this season in defensive saves, trailing only Taylor Harding of Virginia Wesleyan who had 20 in 17 games.
Stevenson finished the 2009 season with a 6-12 record, advancing to the team's third-straight CAC Field Hockey Championship. The team's 16 wins over the last two seasons are the second-most over any two-year span in the school's 16-year history. The Mustangs won 17 between 2000 and 2001.
