Woody Named Provident Pride Player of the Week
Baltimore, MD- After being down by 13 points with 10 minutes left in their game against Marymount, Villa Julie cut the lead to one point which is when the PrestoSports/Pride of Maryland Player of the Week, Greg Woody (Baltimore, MD/Mt. St. Joe) provided the Mustangs with a much needed spark. Woody drained a three-pointer, his fifth of the contest, which ended up paving the way to a 73-66 victory for the Mustangs. The sophomore guard led the team with game high points of 20, along with 7 assists and 4 steals. He also enabled smooth transitions from defense to offense.
With this conference win Villa Julie improved their record to 4-10 (2-3). They are looking to get to the .500 mark in the conference when they take on Salisbury at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16.
