Mustangs To Honor Life of Christian Roberts Before Wednesday's Game

OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Stevenson University men's basketball program will hold a pregame ceremony Wednesday night (Feb. 6) to honor the life of former Mustang standout Christian Roberts, who tragically lost his life last Monday, January 28 at the age of 24.  The ceremony will occur before the scheduled 8 pm tipoff with Lebanon Valley at Owings Mills Gymnasium.

Roberts, from Silver Spring, Md. and a graduate of Paint Branch High School, played for the Mustangs from 2012-16.  He was a three-time MAC Commonwealth All-Conference team member and was the league's Rookie of the Year in 2012-13.  Roberts was also named the 2012-13 ECAC Division III South Rookie of the Year.  Starting all 109 games in which he played, Roberts totaled 1,488 points, ranking him third in program history.  His 181 career three-pointers are second in the Mustang record books, while Roberts also finished his career with 316 assists and 174 steals.
