Lloyd begins his ninth season as an assistant men's basketball coach at the Division III level for the 2012-13 season, including his fifth at Stevenson. He has also served as the JV coach for the Mustangs since 2009.

Prior to Stevenson, Lloyd spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Goucher under head coach Leonard Trevino from 2003-07 followed by a two-year stint as an assistant boys' basketball coach at Woodlawn High School. He also has experience coaching at the AAU and middle school levels.

In addition to his duties at Stevenson, Lloyd has worked as a special education teacher for the Baltimore County Public School System since 2002. He currently teaches American government at Woodlawn High School.

Lloyd earned a bachelor of science degree in psychology from West Virginia in 1989 where he walked on to the Mountaineer men's basketball team. He later received a masters degree in criminal justice at the University of Baltimore in 2002.

Lloyd has one daughter, Carmen Isabel, and currently lives in Owings Mills.
