Villa Finished Tied for 8th in First Match of the Season

Camden, DE- The Mustangs finished their first match of the year with a combined score of 315(+27) at the Wesley Invitational, held at Wild Quail Golf Club.  Franklin & Marshall won the tournament with a team score of 294(+6).  Dennis Gunderson from F&M had the low score of the day with a 71(-1). 

Kevin Motz (Hagerstown, MD/North Hagerstown) had the low score for the Mustangs with a 76(+4).  Cliff Mangle (Westminster, MD/Westminster) came in with a 77(+5); Matt Lukehart (Belair, MD/Mt. Carmel) and Steve Watts (Baltimore, MD/Overlea) each shot a 81(+9); Montgomery Smith finished with a 87(+15); and James Sciabarrasi (Baltimore, MD/Mt. Carmel) ended the day with a 88(+16).

The Mustangs tied for 8th place with Shenandoah out of 13 teams.  The Mustangs head to Bridgewater, VA to play in the Tom Kinder Memorial Tournament held by Bridgewater College Saturday, September 22 and Sunday, September 23.
