Golf Team Finishes 5th At Wesley
Wyoming, DE - The Villa Julie Men's Golf Team battled the elements over two day's at the Wesley Spring Invitational. The Mustangs finished in fifth place out of seven teams.
The first round on Sunday proved to be a tough day for the golfers with high winds and heavy rain playing a factor on the scorecards. After the first day, the Mustangs were in 3rd place with a score of 328. Matthew Lukehart was the teams low scorer with a 79, followed by Steve Watts with an 80. The conditions deteriorated during round 2, making life difficult for all the players. Villa would finish in 5th place with a score of 336, for a total of 664. Steve Watts finished tied for 9th place after shooting a78 in the second round. Matthew Lukehart and Ciff Mangle also finished in the top 20, 16th and 17th respectively.
Wesley won the tournament with a team total of 604 (+28). The Mustangs' individual results are as follows:
