Lukehart Receives Second-Staight Golfer of the Week

YORK, Pa. - Stevenson senior Matt Lukehart (Bel Air/Mt. Carmel) was selected as the CAC Golfer of the Week for the second-straight week on Tuesday after earning low medalist honors in one event and placing second in another.

It is the fourth career honor for Lukehart since the Mustangs joined the conference prior to the 2007-08 season and the third in the last seven weeks of the award. In addition to last week, he was also selected on Mar. 31, 2009.

Lukehart shared low medalist honors with freshman Jon El Kordi (Vienna. Va./James Madison) at Penn State-Berks last Wednesday after both carded a 77, before he finished his week with a 76 to place second out of 83 golfers in the Messiah Falcon Fall Classic.

All five of Lukehart's rounds this year have been 77 or better and he leads the team with a 75.4 average.

Stevenson travels to The Links at Gettysburg next Tuesday, October 13 for the Gettysburg Invitational.
