Geis Shoots 78, Mustangs Take Ninth at Gettysburg Fall Invite

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - Senior Wynn Geis carded a seven-over par 78, placing him into a tie for eighth at the Gettysburg Fall Invitational, held at the Hanover Country Club. Geis has shot under 80 in each of his first two rounds this fall.

The Mustangs finished ninth overall in the team standings with a score of 326, which was 18 strokes behind first-place Gettysburg. 

Freshman Mike Festa finished three strokes back of Geis and into a tie for 23rd, while junior Matthew Shur shot an 83. 

Graduate student Matt Rentz carded an 84 to round out the team score for Stevenson. Junior Evan Welsh shot an 89.

Danny Harcourt of Gettysburg won the individual title by two strokes with an even-par 71. 

The Mustangs hit the links next at the two-day Mason Dixon Collegiate Classic, held at The Bridges Golf Club, starting on Saturday, October 6. Tee time is set for 8:20 a.m.
