Mustangs Second, Maisel Tied for Second after Opening Round of MAC Commonwealth Championship

WHITE HAVEN, Pa. - Senior Josh Maisel is currently tied for second after the opening round of the MAC Commonwealth Championship, held at the Mount Laurel Golf Club. Maisel carded a five-over par 77, giving him seven consecutive rounds under 80. The Mustangs are second overall in the team standings with team score of 316, which is just three strokes back of Lebanon Valley.

Junior Tyler Slusarczyk carded a six-over par 78 to finish the day tied for fifth overall, giving him four rounds under 80 on the year.

Freshman Shane Angle kicked off his first conference championship with an 80, placing him into a tie for 10th on the leaderboard. 

Junior Matthew Shur shot an 81 to finish tied for 12th, while senior Wynn Geis finished the day with an 89. 

The Mustangs will look to win their fourth-straight MAC Commonwealth Championship when they tee off on Sunday, April 28th at 12:30 p.m.
