Mustangs Extend Winning Streak to 4 Games

- Villa overtook Trinity College in today’s rain-soaked
match, 12-5. Villa tallied 47 shots and 38 groundballs to
Trinity’s 24 shots and 36 groundballs.
Villa opened the scoring with a goal by Dustin Harlowe
(Golden Beach, MD/St. Mary's Ryken) assisted by
Tyler Maguire (Montauk, NY/Whittier College) at
the 9:45 mark. It was closely followed by Trinity at 8:55. Villa
tallied two more goals before the end of the quarter to lead
3-1.
Jimmy Kleb (Lewes, DE/Cape Henlopen) and
Steve Kazimer (Syracuse, NY/Henniger) scored a
goal each to bring the half to a close, 5-1.
Villa continued to extend their lead in the second half of the
game. The Mustangs scored four goals to Trinity’s two in the
third quarter. Villa scored twice more in the fourth quarter
followed by two Trinity goals, bringing the final score to
12-5.
Richard Ford (Baltimore, MD/Towson) led the
Mustangs with five goals and one assist. Also scoring for Villa was
Kazimer with three goals, and Greg
Furshman (Miami, FL/Towson), Kleb,
Austin Hale (Baltimore, MD/Eastern), and
Harlowe with one goal each.
The Mustangs are back in action on March 22 when they travel to
Lynchburg for a 7:00 p.m. face-off.
