ANNVILLE, Pa. - Stevenson men's lacrosse junior Chris Dashiell (Salisbury, Md./Parkside) and freshman Dimitri Pecunes (Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall) were honored as the Commonwealth Conference Player and Defender of the Week, respectively, on Monday becoming the fourth selections for the Mustangs this season.
Dashiell was also named player of the week on March 4, joining senior Parker Bratton (Baltimore, Md./McDonogh) who was named defender of the week.
Dashiell led the team with five assists and nine points as Stevenson went 2-0 last week. He tied a career-high with six points while adding four assists in a 19-4 Commonwealth Conference victory over Lebanon Valley before adding three points in a 12-11 overtime victory over No. 8 Lynchburg.
Dashiell scored twice against Lynchburg before picking up the assist on the game-winning goal by sophomore Michael Crowe (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) with 2:43 remaining in overtime.
Meanwhile, Pecunes went 2-0 in goal last week, totaling 24 saves in just over 100 minutes while posting a 7.77 goals against average and a .649 saves percentage. He faced 36 shots and made a career-high 15 saves against the eighth-ranked Hornets, picking up his third victory against a nationally-ranked opponent, including his second in three games versus the top-10.
Stevenson renews its annual rivalry with No. 6 Salisbury on Wednesday night at Sea Gull Stadium with opening face-off at 7:00 p.m.
