ANNVILLE, Pa. – Trailing 6-3 at halftime, the Stevenson University men's lacrosse team outscored Lebanon Valley College 6-1 in the second half en route to a 9-7 MAC Commonwealth victory Wednesday afternoon at Arnold Field.
The Mustangs (7-6, 5-0 MAC Commonwealth) won for the third straight game and for the seventh time in eight outings while extending their record in MAC Commonwealth regular season competition to 45-0 all-time. LVC (7-6, 2-3 MAC Commonwealth), which entered the game with the nation's No. 14 scoring defense at 6.5 goals allowed per game, saw a two-game win streak snapped.

The Mustangs scored three times in the third to tie the game 6-6, then scored the first three goals of the fourth quarter to build a 9-6 lead.
Freshman Jacob Tatum began the comeback with his unassisted tally at 10:31, then sophomore Ethan Christensen scored on a feed from junior JT Thelen at the 7:33 mark. Thelen's goal with 59 seconds left in the third tied the game heading into the final frame.
Senior Harrison Faecher netted two of his three goals in the fourth, giving the Mustangs their first lead since 2-1 at the 13:45 mark. After Danny Buckwalter extended the lead to 8-6 at the 3:02 mark, Faecher's second goal, off a feed from Thelen at 1:32, all but sealed the win. Mason Hoff spoiled Stevenson's second-half shutout bid with a goal for the hosts with eight seconds to play.
Stevenson took a 2-1 lead on goals six seconds apart by Faecher and sophomore Justin Burnette at 6:44 and 6:38. The Dutchmen score three times in the final 5:03 of the quarter to go up 4-2 after one, and a Hoff goal 4:31 into the second quarter extended the LVC lead to 5-2. Buckwalter got one back at 9:18, but a Kevin Beaver goal 7:36 before intermission made it 6-3, which was the halftime score.
The Mustangs outshot LVC 23-12 in the second half and 42-37 for the game. Burnette won all 19 of the game's faceoffs and also registered 16 ground balls. Sophomore Sam Ross made 13 saves for Stevenson, while Lebanon Valley goalie Cameron Epple turned aside 17 shots.
