OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Stevenson University men's lacrosse team, ranked No. 18 in the Inside Lacrosse Faceoff Yearbook Preseason Top 20, will once again face one of the toughest schedules in the country, as it is set to square off with eight teams in the preseason Top 20. The Mustangs open the season at home on Saturday, February 16 at 7 pm against Ursinus.
After meeting the Bears, the Mustangs begin a run in which they will face six straight preseason Top 20 teams. After traveling to No. 10 Denison on February 23 and No. 6 Gettysburg on March 2, Stevenson hosts second-ranked Salisbury on Saturday, March 9 at 7 pm. The following weekend, the annual Mustang Classic sees Stevenson face No. 19 Lynchburg (March 15) and No. 9 York (Pa.) (March 16), before its annual contest against No. 3 Tufts on Tuesday, March 19.
The Mustangs open MAC Commonwealth play on Wednesday, March 27 at home against Hood before rounding out March against Albright on Saturday, March 30.
Stevenson plays two more ranked non-conference foes in April in addition to six conference contests. The Mustangs host No. 11 Christopher Newport on Wednesday, April 3, while traveling to seventh-ranked Cabrini on Friday, April 19. The regular season closes out Saturday, April 27 at Arcadia.
After the five-team MAC Commonwealth Championship kicks off with a first round game on April 29, the semifinals are set for Wednesday, May 1, and the championship game Saturday, May 4.
Stevenson made its 10th straight NCAA appearance after winning its sixth consecutive MAC Commonwealth championship in 2018.
