Villa Julie 3, Cazenovia 0

Cazenovia, NY.- Three different players scored as Villa Julie (3-0, 1-0) cruised to a 3-0 win over Cazenovia (1-2, 1-1) in the Mustangs' NEAC men's soccer league opener on Saturday. The Mustangs' starting keeper, Eric Lowman (Baltimore / Catonsville ) continued his scoreless minutes streak with 73 in the net today, bringing him up to 434:38 since the last time an opponent twitched the twine behind him.

Brooks Kyker (Westminster , Md. / Westminster ) scored the game-winning goal on a penalty kick early in the closing minutes of the first half. Villa added a pair in the final ten minutes to hold on for the 3-0 win.

With the win, Villa remains unblemished at 3-0, 1-0, while Cazenovia falls to 1-2, 1-1 on the season. The Mustangs return to the field on Sunday for more league action when Villa faces Keuka on the road.
