Villa Julie 5, SUNY-Purchase 2

Owings Mills, MD.- Scott Andrzjewski (Lutherville , MD / Towson ) and Brent Woolford (Pasadena , MD / Northeast) each scored twice to deliver Villa Julie a 5-2 North East Athletic Conference win in men's soccer on Saturday.

Woolford got the Mustangs on the board less than five minutes in. That was followed 20 minutes later by a Brooks Kyker (Westminster , MD / Westminster ) goal to make it 2-0. Purchase's Ryan Roach evened the game heading into the half scoring twice in a span of 4:08.The second goal came less than two minutes from the halftime break.

Woolford answered Roach's pair 47 seconds into the second half. That goal would stand up as the game-winner. Andrzjewski sealed the win with a pair of goals 27 seconds apart in the 70th and 71st minute. Woolford assisted on Andrzjewski's second tally.

Villa out-shot Purchase 17-8, but held a 7-1 edge in the second-half. Noah Colantuono recorded seven saves, with five stops in the first half.

With the win, Villa improves to 8-5 (7-1 NEAC), while Purchase falls to 3-7-1 (2-4 NEAC). The Mustangs return to the field on Tuesday at Chestnut Hill.
