Villa Julie 2, Chestnut Hill 1

Philadelphia, PA- Ryan Payne (Millersville, MD/Old Mill) and Mark Sturgeon (Baltimore, MD/Archbishop Curley) each scored to give Villa Julie a 2-1 North East Athletic Conference win in men's soccer.

The Mustangs traveled to Chestnut Hill for a rescheduled game from October 17.  Delivering the first goal of the game after 18 minutes of play, Payne shot the ball from a deflection off of Chestnut Hill's goalkeeper. 

Chestnut Hill returned to the field after the half to tie the game at 1-1 with a goal by Andrew Thorne assisted by John Wood, forcing overtime play. 

With two minutes left in overtime, Sturgeon shot from the 8 yard line to the left corner of the goal to win the game 2-1.  Goalie Eric Lowman (Baltimore, MD/Catonsville) tallied 11 saves.

This win brings the Mustangs record to 10-5 (8-1 NEAC).  The Mustangs return to the field on Saturday, October 21 versus NC Wesleyan at 2:00 p.m. at Owings Mills.
