Gault's Goal Sends Mustangs to Semifinals

Fredericksburg, VA- The #6 Mustangs shutout #3 Mary Washington in the Capital Athletic Conference quarterfinal game Saturday afternoon. In an intense battle between both teams, Nick Gault (Towson, MD/McDonogh) scored the lone goal of the game with three seconds left on the clock, putting the Mustangs ahead 1-0.

The Mustangs were outshot 19 to 6 in the high-carding match. Goalkeeper, Eric Lowman (Catonsville, MD/Catonsville) tallied 7 saves to keep Mary Washington out of the net.

The win improves Villa's record to 8-9-1. The Mustangs will go on in post-season play Tuesday, October 30 at #2 York in the CAC semifinals.
