Mustangs End Season to #2 York

York, PA-  The Mustangs suffered their biggest defeat of the season, losing to York 8-0 in the CAC Semifinals.  The Mustangs ended with a 8-10-1 overall record and 4-4 in the in their first season in the tough Capital Athletic Conference.

Yesterday afternoon the Mustangs battled hard on the turf but were unable to hit the net against the Spartans.  Tyler King, Vinny Caltabiano, Ryan Payne, and Zach Lumpkins each got a shot off on the York keeper but their shots were stopped.  Senior goalie, Eric Lowman, had 14 saves on the day against the powerful Spartan offense.

Coach John Plevyak and his assistants conclude their first Mustang season with a group of gentleman that have come a long way. By working together, they've had victories over many tough teams this season.  They defeated Rutgers-Camden early in the season and CAC-foe Mary Washington both times they met.  The tough Mustang defense held #1 Salisbury to only two goals when they met.  Eric Lowman ends the season with 144 saves and allowed only 25 goals.  Scott Andrzejewski led the Mustangs on the offense with 4 goals and 3 assists, followed by Brent Woolford with 4 goals and Tyler King with 3 goals and 4 assists.  By making it to the Semifinals, they proved they will be conference contenders.
