Cather Sets School Record, Takes Eighth Overall in 100 Butterfly at MAC Championships

YORK, Pa. - Stevenson men's swimming junior Zachery Cather set a new school record and took eighth overall in the 100 Yard Butterfly at the Middle Atlantic Conference Swimming Championships, held at the Graham Aquatic Center.

Cather broke his previous school record in the preliminaries with a 53.23 before posting a 53.86 in the final. With the eighth place finish, Cather also earned an all-conference honorable mention.

Freshman Jaq De Leon swam a personal best in the 100 Yard Breaststroke 'B' final with a 1:03.81.

In the 200 Free Relay, Cather, De Leon, and freshmen Stephen Kratzer and Matthew Miloszar set a new school mark with a combined time of 1:32.89, which earned them 11th overall. 

After three days of competition, the Mustangs are in 11th place with 57 points. Albright leads the field with 391. 

The fourth and final day of the competition takes place on Sunday, February 12.
