Mustangs Defeat Concordia 5-4

Hilton Head, S.C.-

The VJC men's tennis team started the spring season off with a solid win against Concordia (Wisconsin ) 5-4, a team that has won their conference eight years straight and are favored to win their conference this year. Ryan Woodring and Korey Garner teamed up to win 8-6 at #2 doubles and Douglas Ammon and Mike Casalena teamed up to win 8-2 at #3 doubles. Ammon won at #4 singles (6-3, 6-2), followed by Korey Garner at #5 singles (6-2, 6-1) and Mike Casalena at #6 singles 7-6, (9-7), 6-2. The Mustangs face FDU-Florham from New Jersey this coming Wednesday.
