VJC finishes off Spring Break trip with 6-3 win against Wartburg

Hilton Head Island, SC - The Mustangs finished up their spring break trip with a 6-3 win against Wartburg College from Iowa. The match started with singles first and the mustangs took the lead and never let Wartburg back in the match. Thanks to some matchups created by Coach Cohen after doing some scouting the Mustangs took the bottom four singles to take a 4-2 lead into doubles. Korey Garner and Randy Speck pulled out a few tough three set matches at #5 and #6 respectively. VJC clinched the match with Ryan Woodring and Korey Garner teaming up to take #2 doubles. The Mustangs return home to go to Harford Community College for their next match on Monday at 3:30.
