STEVENSON, Md. – The freshman pair of Robbie Baker (Glenwood, Md./Glenelg) and Conrad Ellis (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) teamed up for the second time this season and posted their first collegiate win at No. 1 doubles defeating Penn State Abington's Steven Ly and Monte Dunson in a close match 8-6. The duo combined for the Mustang's lone victory.
Baker was also one of only two Mustangs to record seven winning games against the opposition. Baker fell at No. 6 singles by a mere two games in the first set and three in the second.
In other singles action, senior men's tennis captain Eric Belton (Millersville, Md./Old Mill) was the only Mustang to take his opponent to a third set. After splitting the first two sets, Belton played a tiebreaker for the third set, but fell just short, 6-10, at No. 5 singles.
