STEVENSON, Md. – The Stevenson men's tennis team fell to conference rival Arcadia at the Greenspring Tennis Courts this afternoon in a close matchup.
The freshmen No. 1 doubles pair of Robbie Baker (Glenwood, Md./Glenelg) and Conrad Ellis (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) posted one of the two doubles victories for the Mustangs. The other came from the No. 3 duo of senior Eric Belton (Millersville, Md./Old Mill) and freshman Peter Hoblitzell (Towson, Md./Towson). Belton and Hoblitzell combined for the fewest conceded games.
In singles action, Hoblitzell fought to split sets and ultimately competed in a tiebreaker for the match. The only other Mustang to post a singles' victory was senior Nick Dunlap (Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall). Dulap was the only Mustang to defeat his opponent in straight sets.
Mustangs return to action on Saturday at home where they face FDU-Florham.
