Watson Wins 5000, Davis Qualifies for 60m Dash Finals at AARTFC Championships

ITHACA, N.Y. - Junior Patrick Watson took first place overall in the 5000m run with a meet and facility record time of 14:50.03, which edged out Jared Pangallozzi of Johns Hopkins by .78 seconds, at the All-Atlantic Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Ithaca College. Watson's time is currently eighth best in the Mideast region (converted to 14:40.60 due to track size).

Sophomore Dereck Davis qualified for Saturday's 60m dash finals with a personal-best time of 6.89 seconds, which is just .01 seconds off of the school record (Devonte Williams - 6.88). Davis' performance is currently tied 16th best in all of Division III.

Stevenson is currently 10th in the team standings with 10 points. Brockport (N.Y.) leads the field with 31. 

The second and final day of the meet takes place on Saturday, March 2.
