CHESTER, Pa. - Senior Curtis McInnis set a new school record in the hammer throw at the Dan Curran Invitational, hosted by Widener. McInnis' toss of 42.23 meters broke his previous school record in the event and earned him fourth-place overall. With that throw, McInnis also earned a spot into the ECAC Outdoor Championships.
Junior Forrest Allen took sixth in the event with a toss of 40.01, which was just .01 away from qualifying for ECAC's.
Allen would qualify for ECAC's in the javelin throw with a heave of 47.64 meters, which gave him seventh overall.
Junior Cooper Smelski finished tied for eighth in the pole vault with a height of 3.65 meters.
The Mustangs finished ninth out of 20 schools with 23.5 points.
Stevenson competes next at the two-day Messiah Multi, which begins on Thursday, April 5.
