Watson Wins Steeplechase on Day One of ECAC's

BALTIMORE, MD. - Sophomore Patrick Watson took first place in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 9:24.58 at the two-day ECAC Division III Outdoor Championships, hosted by Johns Hopkins. Sophomore Nikita Kulick took sixth overall with a 9:55.94, missing his personal best by just .39 seconds.

The Mustangs are currently tied for seventh place out 20 teams with 16 points. Hopkins leads the field with 35. 

Junior Kendall Belser qualified for Thursday's 100m dash finals with a time of 11.01 seconds.

Junior Cooper Smelski is currently ninth in the decathlon after five events with 2283 points. 

The second and final day of the meet takes place on Thursday, May 17.
