Iddriss, Wright Qualify for NCAA Outdoor Championship

NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP SCHEDULE

INDIANAPOLIS – Sophomore Iddriss Iddriss and freshman Dimeon Wright of the Stevenson University men's outdoor track and field team have qualified for next weekend's NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship.  Iddriss will compete in the 800-meter run, while Wright qualified in the long jump.

The 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship takes place May 24-26 at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. 

Both Iddriss and Wright qualified with performances this past week.  Iddriss posted a time of 1:51.27 at the Swarthmore Final Qualifying Meet on Monday to record the 12th-fastest time in the country in the 800, while Wright also qualified at Swarthmore with a long jump of 7.26 meters.

The long jump preliminaries and final are set for Thursday, May 24 at 1:45 pm Eastern, while the 800-meter preliminaries are scheduled for 6:00 pm on Friday, May 25.  The 800 final is set for Saturday, May 26 at 2:50 pm Eastern.
