GLASSBORO, N.J. - Senior Langston Gash and junior Patrick Watson picked up victories in their respective events at the Oscar Moore Invitational, hosted by Rowan University. Gash clocked a 4:06.96 in the 1500 to take first overall, while junior Nikita Kulick and senior Sam Mercoli finished with times of 4:10.69 and 4:15.73 to take fourth and eighth overall. In the 3000m Steeplechase, Watson dominated the competition with a region-best time of 9:23.11.
The Mustangs finished second in the team standings with 125 points. Host Rowan took first with 311.
Sophomore Ritchie Case picked up points for the Mustangs in the 110m hurdles, clocking a 24.02 to sixth in the collegiate standings. Junior Iddriss Iddriss also earned a sixth place finish with a time of 52.22 in the 400.
In the relays, Stevenson placed second in the 4x400 with 3:44.97. The Mustangs would take third in the 4x100 with a combined time of 42.82.
Freshman Hayden Otchere placed second in the triple jump with a hop, skip and jump of 12.42 meters. Senior Steven Sneed took third with a 12.20, while sophomore Clement Onyebadi placed fifth with an 11.70m leap. Onyebadi would also place fifth in the high jump, with a top height of 1.78m.
In the long jump, Case finished fourth in the standings with a top leap of 6.16m. Otchere picked up another fifth-place finish with a distance of 6.08m, while Sneed finished sixth with a 6.06. Onyebadi would place eighth with a distance of 5.96m.
Case and senior Cooper Smelski finished tied fourth in the pole vault with a height of 3.05m.
The Mustangs compete next at the Mondschein Multi, hosted by Kutztown, starting on Thursday, April 11th through Friday, April 12th.
