OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Led by 10 kills each from junior Austin Jacoby (Sellersville, Pa./Pennridge) and sophomore Kyle Wisner (York, Pa./Central York), the No. 9-ranked Stevenson men's volleyball team remained unbeaten in three home games this season with a 25-18, 25-11, 25-21 victory over Eastern Mennonite Friday at Owings Mills Gymnasium.
The Mustangs (16-7) totaled 40 kills and a season-high .371 hitting percentage as they defeated the Royals at home for the second time in the last 10 days. They also posted a five-set victory over its CVC rival on March 12, 25-21, 25-19, 22-25, 26-28, 15-13.
Stevenson's previous season-high for hitting percentage was .353 in a 25-6, 25-15, 25-9 victory over Cazenovia on February 10.
Freshman Kyle Pottieger (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) and junior Jon Martin (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) each had seven kills while Pottieger added three total blocks, including two block solos. Sophomore David Moler (York, Pa./Central York) totaled 29 assists and five digs while junior Adam Thatcher (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) had a team-high seven digs.
In his first action since March 2, senior Rob Kryger (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) added two kills and two digs.
Greg Knight led Eastern Mennonite (12-9) with 10 kills while Chris Moise and Jesse Reist each had six. Marc Lovell had a game-high eight digs and John Barry totaled three kills and 31 assists.
Stevenson returns to action on Saturday against its 11th top-10 opponent this season when it faces No. 7 SUNY New Paltz at noon. The Mustangs will then take on Penn State Altoona at 4:00 p.m.
