ARLINGTON, Va. - Stevenson men's volleyball junior Kyle Wisner totaled 10 kills and .562 hitting percentage as the 14th-ranked Mustangs posted a 25-17, 26-24, 25-21 Continental Volleyball Conference victory over Marymount (Va.) Saturday at Verizon Sports Arena.
Stevenson (10-5) won its third-straight CVC contest while improving its record to 6-0 on the road this season. The match also marked the first-ever meeting between the two teams as the Saints are in their inaugural season this year.
Seniors Jon Martin and Austin Jacoby each had nine kills, combining for 18 of the team's 36 kills. Martin also added nine digs and five aces while Jacoby had three aces. As a team, Stevenson totaled a season-high 11 service aces.
Bryce Ernsberger led Marymount (3-8) with 12 kills while Tomasz Ksiazkiewicz had 10. Chris Lionette had nine digs while Ernsberger added six.
Stevenson travels to Lancaster Bible on Tuesday for a tri-match versus Hannibal-LaGrange and the host Chargers beginning at 6:00 p.m.
