Jeff Blake joined the Villa Julie athletic program two seasons ago after coaching the men's volleyball team at Calvert Hall for five years. This year Blake led the Mustangs to a 9-21 season.  Although the record was a step back from his first year, the schedule was one of the toughest in the nation with 17 of their 30 matches versus top-25 caliber competition.  In his first season, he led the team to the NECVA Championships for the first time in VJC history and guided the team to a school record setting 15-11 overall season record.  He has been a teacher at Calvert Hall for 20 years after graduating from Towson State. While at Calvert Hall, Blake led the team to four MIAA semifinal games, winning two championships in 2001 and 2002. His coaching experience in football, baseball, basketball, and lacrosse for high school and recreation levels will prove to be an asset to the volleyball program at Villa Julie College.
