Jeff Blake joined the Stevenson athletic program three seasons ago after coaching the men's volleyball team at Calvert Hall for five years.
A year ago, the Mustangs finished with an overall record of 15-17.
In 2007, Blake led the Mustangs to a 9-21 season. Although the record was a step back from his first year, the schedule was one of the toughest in the nation with 17 of their 30 matches versus top-25 competition.
In his first season, Blake led the team to the NECVA Championships for the first time in school history and guided the team to a school record 15 wins as the the Mustangs went 15-11.
In addition to his coaching duties at Stevenson, Blake has been a teacher at Calvert Hall for 20 years after graduating from Towson State. While at Calvert Hall, he led the boys' volleyball team to four MIAA semifinal games and won two championships in 2001 and 2002.
Blake also has coaching experience in football, baseball, basketball, and lacrosse at the high school and recreation levels.
