Mustangs Split in Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach, SC.- The Mustangs started the day versus Gettysburg College and fell 9-2. Jessie O'Neill pitched a complete seven inning game giving up two earned runs, ten hits, and pitched six strikeouts. Offensively, Jessie O'Neill went 1 for 4, Liz Penniman and Sarah Moelter each went 1 for 2.

In the second game of the day the Mustangs punished Mt. Aloysius 18-8 to even their season record at 2-2. Freshman Sarah Moelter pitched five innings giving up five hits and striking out five girls in the game. Jackie Wineke went 2 for 3, Emily Roper went 2 for 4 with a double, Jackie Dorsey went 2 for 4, Kathleen Holshue went 2 for 3 and had 1 RBI.

Villa is back in action on Wednesday when they face Iowa Wesleyan at 9am and Arcadia College at 11am.
