Mustangs Fall to York in Double-Header

York, PA -

York earned two wins against the Mustangs in their double-header in today's non-conference competition.  The Mustang highlight of the day was freshman Sarah Moelter  (Timonium, MD/ Dulaney) pitching a no-hitter during the second game of the day.

In the first game, the Mustangs fell 8-1.  Jessical O'Neill (Howard County, MD/ Howard) had the lone run for the Mustangs during the first inning  that gave the Mustangs the first lead of the day.  However, they remained scoreless for the remainder of that game.

In the second game, Villa Julie lost 2-1.  York scored two unearned runs in the first inning and did not score for the rest of the game.  The Mustangs were down 2-0 coming into the 7th inning but Jacquelyn Dorsey (Eldersburg, MD/ Liberty) was the only player that managed to make it home.  The Mustangs fell one run short of the win.

Today's losses brings the Mustangs' record to 4-8.  They return to their homefield on Saturday, March 24, to take on Washington College at 1:00 pm.
