Mustangs Sweep Chestnut Hill
Philadelphia, PA.- The Mustangs tied up their
record to 14-14 overall and 8-4 in the NEAC after sweeping NEAC-foe
Chestnut Hill in today's double-header. The Mustangs won 6-2
in the first game and pulled off a 5-3 win in extra innings for the
second game of the day.
GAME 1: Jessie O'Neill pitched two inning to
earn a save pitching no rungs, one strikeout, a hit and one
walk. Sarah Moelter gets win.
Offensively, Lindsey Muller led the Mustangs going
4 for 4 with one homerun, one triple, one double, one single, and a
RBI; Jackie Dorsey went 2 for 4 with a double and
a RBI; O'Neill went 1 for 4 with a three-run
homerun and three RBIs; Liz Penniman went 1 for 1
with one double and a RBI; Moelter went 1 for 3
wtih one double; Victoria Phelps went 2 for
3.
GAME 2: Moelter pitched five innings with
six hits, 1 run that wasn't earned. O'Neill
pitched four innings with four hits, five strikeouts, two runs, and
one earned run. Offensively, Mueller went 2
for 4 wtih two RBIs; Samantha Rice went 1 for 3
scoring two runs; Heather Taylor went 3 for 4 with
one double scored one run, and had two RBIs; Liz
Penniman went 1 for 2 with one double and a RBI.
The Mustangs take the field again on Saturday, April 21, hosting Keuka at Towson University at 1:00 pm.
